The Costa Blanca attracts millions of visitors from the UK every year, and bowlers are no exception. The miles of white, sandy beaches and crystal blue waters are a draw for people seeking excitement however, during the winter months the area is more relaxed, but still has the attractions to entertain visitors all year round. Apart from the area’s reputation as a typical seaside resort, it also has cultural appeal and in the interior mountainous area lies a series of medieval towns and fortified villages largely unaffected by the modern developments.

Benidorm, the areas most famous resort, has been a favourite since the 1970’s but still has rustic charm with picturesque alleyways, an 18^th century church and 14^th century castle. It’s three miles of beaches and two mile boardwalk lined with cafes and bars is a fabulous and affordable place to watch the spectacular sunsets. Alicante, Costa Blanca’s main city, has a number of interesting sights including the formidable Moorish Castell de Santa Barbara, which looms over the city. Guardamar del Sugura has all the amenities of a modern town, but also a historical appeal and a pine forest perfect for walkers.
